Recently, many parts of the Western world have been ravaged by intense storms and other natural disasters.

The first of these was Hurricane Harvey, which devastated southeast Texas.  Hurricane Harvey became a Category 4 storm as it went through Texas, and left millions of homes flooded and millions of people homeless.  At least 39 people have died, and the storm left many hazards in its wake.  Here are some reputable articles to read and places to donate:

Another devastating natural disaster that occurred recently was in the Caribbean and Florida, called Hurricane Irma.  The disastrous storm became a Category 5 hurricane and has now quieted to a tropical storm, but is still wreaking havoc.  It has killed around 130 people so far, and left many more without homes.  Many families have gone to stay with their relatives, and the disaster has affected countless lives.  More information and places to donate can be found here:

Furthermore, just in the past month, Mexico has experienced some of the biggest earthquakes ever recorded.  First, a magnitude-8.1 earthquake hit the southern portion on September 7th, and then a magnitude-7.1 earthquake hit closer to the center, near Mexico City, a mere 12 days later.  The first was the largest to hit Mexico in a century, and the second happened on the anniversary of one in 1985 that killed hundreds of people.  Let us all pray for Mexico!  More information and donation sites are listed below:
